Yes, I watch entirely too much Super Why, but I am actually calling on all my super-readers… you know who you are… those of you who shop your own homes, dumpster-dive, and street-sweep… those who genius-ly recycle, upcyle, freecycle, repurpose and transform all those trash-bound, land-fill bound items into amazing treasures. You, and the rest… welcome to my own personal salvage yard. These are all free-to-me items saved from our demolition, items from our old home, or items left behind by the former homeowner here. There’s something about all of them that I love and I want to give them all new life.
Super-readers…. I’ve got a few ideas for everything you see here, but I’m new to repurposing…. so, you tell me… what should I do with these?
UPDATE: TRASH TO TREASURE MISSION IN PROGRESS! I'm committed to putting these 30 items to use by the end of the year! I'll add links to the items I've checked off this list as they are finished! Wish me luck! :)

Carrie you have such awesome items! I have been dying for some potters that big actually! I'd love to paint them all a bright color like yellow or red and then stencil numbers on to the front and place them on front steps to proudly display an address and some pretty blooms. I saw it on a blog once and have been in blog envy since!
I also like the idea of taking baskets and spray painting them coordinating bathroom colors to hold additional toilet paper.
Holy moley, girl. You got tons of stuff!
That twin headboard is so fun. I'd be recovering that and using it as art or a headboard. Or with burlap and putting it in the garden as a backdrop.
Have you seen the stacked pots? They just paint them, stack them (with bricks to lift them) and fill with flowers. You could do that. They are super cute and add height to a porch or yard.
I also watch way to much super why lol
I stumbled across your blog and wanted to say hi.
Take a minute an check my blog out if you haven't already.
I have lots of great giveaways going on.
Thanks :)

What fun stuff you have!!! The three iron scrolls that are 8 feet long. I would paint them and hang them up somewhere or even above a bed if you have a king bed. The twin headboard is to die for! Recover that thing! Also that small chair/bench would make a great vanity chair just paint and recover. Oh the possiblities!!
Wow! what a gold mine! The oval mirror reminds me of one I have above my mantel. I love it! So many fun items and ideas!!! Good luck!!!
Gracious girl! I forgot half of what I saw, but I do think the bird bath bottom would make a great decorative item with a little paint. Paint the pots with bright colors or chalkboard paint. The decorative fence would look good hung up on the wall if it's in small enough pieces and wood and painted and antiqued. The headboard would look really good if it was recovered.
I love this post. Thanks for linking it up.
So just off the top of my head I thought that if the metal railings fit into the metal table (with the two - sections) you could cut those to fit and make that into an outdoor table - rust and all.
Your birdbath base is awesome! You could use it as a pedestal and put your newly painted bird house on it or other art in the yard. Your glass could be cut to cover the other metal table. If you put a wooden "shelf" under the different sections - it could be turned into a display table (put some special keepsakes and put it in the house) either keeping it rusty or spraying it black. Others have already made suggestions on the headboard but I was looking at the old awning - maybe make that into a greenhouse for some starter plants - put some shelves in there and some clear plastic? Your old pool pump thingy - could you turn the top upside down and have it rest in the base - spray paint it with some fun color or put broken pottery and do a mozaic - put your fish gravel in the bottom and make a little pool or fountain? Maybe add some plants? The baby carriage is great! Spray paint it or keep as is and put some plants for outside or wait until the holidays and put some wrapped presents in it and add some greenery and put by your front door. Wow! Your stuff has gotten my creative juices flowing - wish I had this great stuff - if you don't want any of it let me know. I love your blog and look forward to what you come up with. Elaine
